Rev. Dr. James H. Latimer
As both a settled minister and as transitional interim minister, Jim has served UCC congregations in California, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Connecticut and Massachusetts. In additional to pastoral ministry, Jim is a Professional Certified Coach, and enjoys coaching fellow pastors and church leadership teams around issues of church governance, leadership development, congregational renewal and ministry effectiveness. As the founder of CoachingForInterims.com, he hosts the collaborative “Wisdom from the Field” podcast project featuring brief interviews with transitional interim ministers, and others, with practical help and wisdom to offer those engaged in transitional ministry.
As Pastor, his big joy comes from helping people discover what is most important to them, create a plan to achieve it and muster the courage to follow it. Put another way: Helping people connect with their God-given talents and live into them with purpose and joy.
His diverse background includes degrees in divinity, engineering, business and Asian Studies. He loves singing, cross-country skiing, tennis, speed rollerblading and foreign languages. He and his partner, Brooke, live in Phoenixville.
